Spring 2009 Beauty Collections, Part 1
Monday, January 12th, 2009So much awesome makeup coming out for spring 2009! My head is spinning from trying to keep up, so instead of making a post about every collection, I’m going to do a series of roundups to give you some eye candy and to let you know where you can go to find out more.

Fuchsia Now brightens things up with cool pinks and bold eyes. The Fleur de Lys Shimmer Powder looks intriguing.
Chanel Bohemian Fantasy (image source: Chanel)

Chanel’s Bohemian chic collection includes Mystic Eyes Palette, which features oh so pretty, shimmery shades. Checkout Makeup and Beauty Blog for swatches. Also digging: Limited Edition Levres Signees Chanel, a unique quintet of cream lip shades in the shape of the Chanel logo, and Vendetta Nail Colour.
Shu Uemura Mirage (image source: Shu Uemura)

Dreamy and etherial, Shu Uemura’s Mirage Collection is a breath of fresh air, featuring pastel eyeshadows and a double deck lip duo that looks like a lot of fun.
Lady Dior Spring 2009 (image source: iswii.net)

How adorable is the cheek and lip palette that looks like a little quilted bag? The Lady Dior collection includes pretty neutrals and nudes, as well as some bolder shades, like Actress Chestnut Lipstick.
Prescriptives In Bloom (image source: Temptalia)

In Bloom includes lots of floral inspired pinks and purples, with names like Petunia, Posy, and Zinnia.
Smashbox Muse (image source: Smashbox)

The Muse Collection from Smashbox features an inspirational rainbow eye palette, as well as 2 in 1 Luminizing Primer, Lip Paints, Bionic Mascara, Cream Eye Liners, and Blush Rush. Check out lots of swatches over at Temptalia.
Lancome Pink Irreverance (image source: Lancome)

The Pink Irreverence Collection features both bold and neutral shades – lots of pinks and and a few deep brown/black shades. My initial standout picks were La Laque Fever in Electric Pink and Color Fever Gloss in Piha Black. Temptalia has a review out already (tons of swatches, too!), and The Daily Cookie has an in depth review of the Piha Black Gloss. Interesting, and not as goth-y as I thought it would look when applied.
