Lancome recently announced the spring 2009 launch of Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, featuring breakthrough skin care technology that, according to Lancome, “boosts gene activity and brings your skin back to the protein levels of a younger skin”. How exactly does it do this?

Genifique targets three key genes and two proteins in the skin, shifting the way that the skin reacts. The formula is driven by two main molecules, designed to enhance the environment of skin cell genes, which send an RNA messenger to nurture protein growth in the top layer of the skin. What’s unique about this concentrate is that it adapts to individual needs, boosting the exact proteins that the user needs at any age. As a result, you’re left with a healthier, luminous complexion, whether you’re 6 or 60.

Lancome has high hopes for Genifique because of its broad appeal. The concentrate is rather pricey at $78 for a 1oz. bottle, but Lancome believes that the appeal of Genifique has such breadth that the pricetag won’t be a deterrant even in the downbeat economy.
