I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling completely overwhelmed by all of the end of 2008 and 2009 MAC Cosmetics collections that are coming out. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not necessarily feeling overwhelmed in a bad way. It’s just that I feel like I can’t keep up with everything that’s going on. It feels like there’s a new collection announced a couple of times a week, and my mental makeup wishlist is getting so long that I may have to break out the pencil and paper soon. And we’re still only in January?

Thankfully, there are plenty of beauty bloggers out there who are showing swatches and looks from the latest MAC collections (the ones that have been released, anyway), which helps get rid of some of the cravings on your wishlist that just won’t work for your taste, coloring, etc. Of course, these previews can also add more items to the wishlist and strengthen the cravings that you were already having.

MAC’s Hello Kitty collection seems to be getting the strongest buzz, and I’m a big Hello Kitty fan so I’m totally getting caught up in it. I’ll be on the lookout for swatches when the collection launches in February, and Bjooti has lots of preview images to tide you over until then.

The Dame Edna collection is probably the boldest of the collections that I’ve seen thus far, with the lipsticks being the standouts of the line. Temptalia has lippie swatches and an overall collection review, and Steph’s Closet has swatches of pretty much everything in the collection.

MAC’s Chill collection is filled with wintry shimmers and more neutral colors. Again, Temptalia provides us with swatches and an overall review, while Karen at Beauty and Makeup Blog suggests five ways to wear the collection.

Makeup Geek shows us how to re-create the Blowdry look using (mostly) products from MAC’s Brunette Blonde Redhead collection, and The Makeup Divas show us some lippie swatches.

The Grand Duos collection has only just been announced, but Bjooti has plenty of preview images for all of us to gawk over, and Temptalia has preview images from Creamteam (Cremeteam), which launches in early February. Also, be on the lookout for more information about Sugarsweet, which is already getting some buzz over at Specktra, who have a great sneak peak of the collection.
